Also at the meeting of the clubs, it became known that Kharkiv Sokols and BC Rovno expressed a desire to participate in the Major League. Note that the final format of the Superleague will be determined by the FBU Executive Committee, which will be held in mid-September.
Earlier, FBU President Mikhail Brodsky revealed the details of the new national championship. According to him, the federation plans to use the bubble format that was used during the coronavirus pandemic.
It was reported that six clubs have already confirmed their participation in the new season: Prometheus, Budivelnik, Kyiv-Basket, Zaporozhye, Cherkasy Mavpy and Stary Lutsk.
The 2021-22 season in the Super League was stopped due to a full-scale Russian invasion in February at the regular season stage. The winners at the end of the season were not awarded.
