Team of Ukraine confidently beat Great Britain in the first match of the group stage 2022 European Basketball Championship.
The team of Ainars Bagatskis won the first quarter by five points – 22:17. The second 10-minute period was also left for the Ukrainian basketball players — 20:15.
After the break, Ukraine increased its advantage and brought the meeting to a crushing victory – 90:61.
The most productive player of the meeting was Svyatoslav Mikhailyuk. The defender of the Ukrainian national team scored 17 points.
Ukraine will play the next match against Estonia on 3 September. The beginning is at 18:00 Kyiv time.
The Blue-Yellows will also face Italy (September 5), Greece (September 6) and Croatia (September 8) in the group stage. The four best teams from the group will advance to the 1/8 finals.
