The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) has rejected the national team’s protest Lithuania due to a refereeing error in a match against Germany at EuroBasket, reports the press service of the organization.
According to representatives of the Lithuanian team, the referees in the third quarter episode did not see a free throw that could decide the outcome of the game. FIBA rejected the protest as the Lithuanians filed it after the 60-minute timeout.
It was also noted that the protest would still have been rejected, as the reason given was not suitable for such a decision.
Two overtimes were played in the match, the German team won with a score of 109:107.
