The first defeat of the blue-yellows in the tournament
Men’s national basketball team of Ukraine lost Greece in the match of the 4th round of EuroBasket 2022.
The blue-yellows went to the big break with a 7-point lead – 39:46. However, the third and fourth quarters were completely under the control of Greece, which in the final score managed to surpass Ukraine by 20 points.
Svyatoslav Mikhailyuk and Issuf Sanon were the best in the team of Ainars Bagatskis, who scored 16 points each. The leader of Greece Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 41 points and made 9 rebounds in 27 minutes on the floor.
Ukraine in the group stage will play with Croatia on 8 September. The four best teams from the group will advance to the 1/8 finals. After four matches, the blue-yellows are in second place.
