serbian clubs “Partizan” and “Mega” will participate in the VTB United League Super Cup for the Cup named after legendary coach Alexander Gomelsky, the league’s official website reports.
The top four teams from the 2021/22 VTB United League season will also play in the tournament: CSKA, UNICS, Zenit and Lokomotiv Kuban.
The matches will take place from September 22 to 25 at the VTB Arena. Six teams will compete in two groups. The group stage matches will take place on September 22, 23 and 24. The medal games will take place on September 25.
Partizan has won the national championship 21 times.
For the first time, the VTB United League Super Cup was held in Moscow at the VTB Arena in September 2021. CSKA, UNICS, Zenit and Lokomotiv-Kuban played there and the team of the army won.
