The second defeat of the blue-yellows in group C
national team Ukraine lost Croatia in the final match of the group stage 2022 European Basketball Championship.
In the second quarter, the Croatian team led by 12 points, but the Ukrainians managed to reduce the gap to three points before the big break – 42:45.
According to the results of the third quarter, the scoreboard showed an equal score – 69:69. In the final segment of the game, the Croats made a breakthrough 11:0 and got the final victory 90:85.
This is the second defeat of the team of Ainars Bagatskis at EuroBasket 2022. Earlier, the blue-yellows lost to Greece (79:99). Ukraine also has victories over Estonia (74:73), Great Britain (90:61) and Italy (84:73).
Ukraine ranks third in Group C, but if Italy wins over Great Britain, Bagatskis’ team will rise to second position. Note that the blue-and-yellows reached the 1/8 finals of EuroBasket.
