Superleague-2022/23 will be held in the bubble format and without playoffs

The winner will be determined after four rounds of the regular season.

Executive Committee of the Basketball Federation of Ukraine (FBU) determined the rules of the season Super League 2022/23.

The clubs approved the holding of the regular season in four rounds. The competition will be held without spectators in the bubble format, which was used during the coronavirus pandemic.

It should be noted that earlier the clubs agreed to hold the “Final Six” to determine the champion of the country. However, the FBU Committee, at the suggestion of the club leaders, canceled the playoff round – the championship will be awarded to the club after four rounds of the regular season.

The number of players included in the application has also changed. Now clubs have the right to register 30 players during the season.

Eight clubs have already confirmed their participation in the new season: Prometheus, Budivelnik, Kyiv-Basket, Zaporozhye, Cherkasy Mavpy, Old Lutsk, Kryvbas and MBK Nikolaev.

The 2021-22 season in the Super League was stopped due to a full-scale Russian invasion in February at the regular season stage. The winners at the end of the season were not awarded.
