Longtime Euroleague boss Jordi Bertomeu has resigned, replaced by Dejan Bodiroga

Euroleague Basketball announced on its website the resignation of the Spaniard’s CEO Jordi Bertomeu who held this position for 22 years.

Bertomeu was replaced by former Serbian basketball player and civil servant Dejan Bodiroga, who won three Euroleague titles and numerous personal accolades during his professional career.

Marshall Glickman has been named interim Euroleague CEO.

— We are entering a new era of the Euroleague. Over the past 20 years, Europe’s premier basketball tournament has established itself as the center of global sport. I want to thank Jordi Bertomeu and his team for their vision and hard work and I look forward to continuing to create and expand the influence of the Euroleague and the Eurocup,” Bodiroga said.
