The 2025 European Basketball Championship will be held in Poland, Latvia, Finland and Cyprus, according to website Polish Basketball Association (PZK).

— We are pleased that the Board of Directors of the European branch of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA Europe) appreciated the rapid development of Polish basketball. In recent years, the national team has achieved great success – in 2019, after a 52-year break, it entered the World Cup and reached the quarter-finals, and now it is among the top four teams in Europe, – said PZK Chairman Radoslaw Pesevich.

“Poland has hosted many spectacular sporting events in recent years and has proven to have the experience, skills and infrastructure of the highest standards, enabling it to host world-class stars. I believe that the joint organization of the European Championship with Finland, Cyprus and Latvia will be the best proof of this, – said Minister of Sports and Tourism of Poland Kamil Bortnichuk.

Since 2015, the European Championships have taken place in several countries. The right to organize EuroBasket 2022, which is taking place these days, has been granted to Germany, the Czech Republic, Georgia and Italy.
