Brodsky to President Prometheus: Dubinsky decided to attack me

Previously, Prometheus refused to participate in the championship of Ukraine because of the large entry fee.

President of the Basketball Federation of Ukraine Mikhail Brodsky commented on the conflict with President Prometheus Vladimir Dubinsky.

“Vladimir Dubinsky decided to attack me. I have been a sponsor of Ukrainian basketball for 30 years. I saw those, too,” wrote Brodsky.

Today, September 20, Prometheus President Volodymyr Dubinsky announced that the club is not going to participate in the Ukrainian Basketball Championship (Super League) 2022/23.

According to him, the reason for the refusal is the requirement from the Basketball Federation of Ukraine to pay an application fee for the national championship in the amount of 4.5 million hryvnias. At the same time, for all other clubs, the fee is set at 40,000 hryvnia.

According to telegram channel proshutabasketball, The Federation previously motivated a similar amount by the participation of Prometheus in the European Cup tournament “not under the auspices of FIBA” – the Eurocup. This tournament is held under the auspices of EuroLeague Basketball.

Earlier, the FBU approved the regulations for the upcoming 2022/23 Super League season.
