NBA club defenderMinnesota Wolves Anthony Edwards has been fined $40,000 for making inappropriate comments on social media.
Edwards previously posted a video in which he spoke unethically about a group of shirtless, muscular white men talking on the street. The basketball player was punished for using “offensive and derogatory language” in the video, which was previously deleted. The player himself apologized for his remarks.
The association has already fined famous players such as Kobe Bryant ($100,000), Nikola Jokic ($25,000), Kevin Durant ($50,000) and Rajon Rondo for making homophobic comments.
Edwards was selected by Minnesota with the first overall pick in the 2020 draft.
