Women’s United States team on basketball updated the world championship record in points scored per game, scoring 145 points in a game against South Korea.
The Group A fourth round match ended with a score of 145:69. The Americans broke Brazil’s record of 143 points set in the 1990 World Cup against Malaysia. It’s also a new record for the USA women’s team, which has never scored more than 119 points in a game before.
The American team after four rounds leads the group with a result of 100%. The world championship takes place in Sydney from September 22 to October 1, 2022.
