Borussia Dortmund Target PAOK Player Giannis Konstantelias

Borussia Dortmund are considering a move for PAOK midfielder Giannis Konstantelias as a potential replacement for Karim Adeyemi following his transfer to Barcelona.

German publication Kicker reported in its online edition that the Bundesliga club has placed the Greek international on its radar to strengthen its attacking options. The outlet noted that Konstantelias brings speed and strong dribbling ability to the squad, pointing to him as another target in Greece after the transfer of Konstantinos Karetsas.

Dortmund's primary transfer target remains Said el Mala, but negotiations with Cologne have not yet reached a successful conclusion. Kicker stated that the German side is evaluating alternative options if the deal for el Mala falls through, with Konstantelias emerging as one of the candidates.

Alternative transfer options

The outlet highlighted that the 23-year-old midfielder fits the profile Dortmund is searching for. According to Kicker, he offers versatility across the attack while performing strongest in central midfield, though the publication noted that his defensive discipline still needs improvement.

Kicker also cited Italian transfer journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, who linked the Greek international with Premier League side Bournemouth. Di Marzio also named Chelsea and Juventus as competing clubs interested in the player.

Despite the interest, Kicker clarified that Borussia Dortmund has not opened formal contact with PAOK regarding a transfer, while also recalling last year's failed negotiations involving Stuttgart.
