The Ukrainian’s former rival and former cruiseweight world champion wants Usyk out while on top.
Alexander Usik should end his professional career today. Former cruiserweight world champion Tony Bellew thinks so.
According to the Ukrainian’s former rival, Usik has fully achieved everything in sports – twice became an absolute champion, and therefore can safely retire from sports.
“I hope Usik finishes his career. He is financially secure, we dealt with his team – he was never in this sport for the money. Usik will not lose what he received.
He has already said that the preparation for the fight with Fury was very difficult for him. Usik is the best heavyweight in the world, in this capacity he cannot be surpassed – the game is over ” SecondsOut quotes Bellew as saying.
We remind you that Oleksandr Usyk defeated Tyson Fury by split decision and became the first absolute heavyweight champion since 1999.
Previously, Usik was offered to become the champion in three weight categories.
