The Brazilian Football Confederation confirmed on Tuesday night the dates and kickoff times for the Copa do Brasil quarter-finals starting August 25. A draw held hours earlier at CBF headquarters set up three state derbies in the round of eight: Santos against Palmeiras, Atlético-MG against Cruzeiro, and Grêmio against Internacional, alongside Vitória against Vasco.
The two-legged ties will be played in consecutive weeks, with all semi-finalists decided by September 3 in Brazil's highest-paying tournament. The tournament bracket was also defined. The 2026 Copa do Brasil final will take place as a single match at a neutral stadium, with both finalists earning places in the 2027 Copa Libertadores.
First Leg Fixtures
The first-leg fixtures begin on Tuesday, August 25, when Cruzeiro host Atlético-MG at 21:00 at Mineirão. On Wednesday, August 26, Palmeiras host Santos at 21:30 at Nubank Parque, while Vasco host Vitória at 21:30 at São Januário. Internacional meet Grêmio on Thursday, August 27, at 20:00 at Beira-Rio.
Second Leg Fixtures
Return matches start on Tuesday, September 1, with Atlético-MG hosting Cruzeiro at 21:00 at Arena MRV. On Wednesday, September 2, Santos host Palmeiras at 21:30 at Vila Belmiro, and Vitória host Vasco at 21:30 at Barradão. The round finishes on Thursday, September 3, when Grêmio host Internacional at 20:00 at Arena do Grêmio. All times are Brasília time.
