Palmeiras announced Cimed as a new sponsor; the brand will print the captain’s bands and the women’s soccer jersey, in an investment for the modality
O palm trees announced, this Tuesday, 27, the new partnership with Cimed, through a press conference organized at the Allianz paque Trophy Room. The sponsorship is valid until 2024, and the event was attended by the president of Verdão, Leila Pereirain addition to the president of Cimed, João Adibi.
The deal will see the pharmaceutical company stamp its logo on the women’s team uniform and the men’s captain’s sash. Although the values have not been revealed, the company will also have its name on the stretcher carts, on the stretcher and on the doctors’ bags, in addition to the health-related environments at the Football Academy.
“Without investment, you don’t make a category, you don’t make a strong institution. With Cimed, along with other sponsors, I’m sure we’ll grow more and more, get closer to conquests and more titles, which is what interests all of us from Palmeirass”, said Leila Pereira, about investments in sponsorship for the women’s modality.
About Crefisa being the master sponsor of Palmeiras, the president reinforced: “I am the president of Palmeiras and also of the sponsors. We have been sponsoring the club since 2015, and he was signed to Palmeiras football. We didn’t separate if it was base, female. It was for Palmeiras football. When I was a candidate, I was asked about the conflict of interest, that I could not be president and sponsor of the club. There is no such conflict of interest, according to the CBF code of ethics, I can be president and sponsor. There is no such conflict of interest, it’s just that they don’t have anything to say”, he assured.
“If I weren’t president of Palmeiras, a sponsor would never give up spaces to benefit the club. I gave up these properties for Palmeiras to have more revenue, I didn’t reduce the amount I pay Palmeiras at all”, added Leila Pereira about the other sponsorships.
Recently, the president gave up Crefisa’s space as the master sponsor of women’s football, opening space for Betfair, the bookmaker that closed with Verdão this year, and for Cimed, which will join the account from now on. The aim is for the female sport of Palmeiras to become increasingly self-sustainable and competitive.
