The Kievans got the second victory in a row in the Premier League
Central defender Dynamo Denis Popov commented on the victory of the white-blues in the 5th round of the UPL over Minay (1:0). The football player stressed that the people of Kiev are still experiencing a difficult period.
“Mister told us to prepare for a difficult game, he warned that it would not be easy, there would be a viscous field. That’s why we were ready. Yes, Minay fought very well, creating many chances, using our own mistakes. Thank God we won. Now we have a difficult period when we are in search of our game. Therefore, we tune in as much as possible for each match.”
“The coaching staff asked me to speed up and play the ball more aggressively. [во втором тайме]. Minay’s players should be noted – they did not stop, they ran forward in the last minutes. The final stretch of the match was tense.”
“Three points is good, but we don’t have the situation right now to be happy about it. Therefore, you need to analyze your mistakes and improve your game in order to perform well in the Europa League and win the championship.”
Popov has played six matches for the White-Blues this season. The game with Minay was the first for the defender after a shoulder ligament injury.
Dynamo are 9th in the UPL with six points. Next week, Mircea Lucescu’s wards will play two matches – with Rennes in the Europa League (October 6) and Rukh in the Ukrainian Championship (October 9).
