Defender of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team Denis Hadjikadunich was duplicitous by saying he didn’t want to participate in a friendly match with the Russian national team, the former Zenit footballer told Alexei Gasilin .
The national teams match is scheduled to take place on November 19 in St. Petersburg. Earlier, Malmö player Hadjikadunich told Swedish media that he would not play with the Russian team. The footballer has been loaned to Swedish club Rostov until the end of 2022.
– I do not understand such a statement, you are an athlete, a professional. You played in Rostov, received money, maybe thanks to Rostov you went to a good club. Play soccer. Such a statement is duplicity,” Gasilin said on the show “There is a theme! on MatchTV.
Hadjikadunich, 24,’s contract with the Russian club runs until 2023.
The Football Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina is expected to make a decision regarding the game against Russia on October 10.
