Dani is delighted with the professionalism of Ukrainian football players
Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal commented on the upcoming Champions League group stage match against Shakhtar.
“We have a tough game ahead of us against a team that is second in the group. However, we want to consolidate the leadership – it would be a huge step towards taking first place.
“It’s a shame that we are in this situation in 2022 where a team cannot play in their country and there is a departure of national players.”
“We see how Shakhtar scored four points in two Champions League matches, how they compete and create hope. It’s good that Shakhtar can find a way out of the situation that happened in Ukraine through football.”
In the match against the Pitmen, the Blancos will not be able to count on several main players. Among them is goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, who should be replaced by Ukrainian Andrey Lunin in the starting lineup.
The match at the Santiago Bernabéu between Real Madrid and Shakhtar will take place tomorrow, October 5. The meeting starts at 22:00 Kyiv time. The fight will be served by the Slovak team of referees headed by Ivan Kruzhlyak.
