Palahnyuk: I dedicated my goal to the Hero of Ukraine

The hero of the sixth round in the First League, Bukovina striker Vasily Plagnyuk emotionally reacted to the first victory of his team over Mariupol (3:1), spoke about the tasks of Bukovina and an ambitious dream.

— Recognition as the best player is quite important for every football player, — Palahnyuk said in a comment to SportArena. – But football is a team game, so this is the merit of all the players, coaches and club management. And do not forget that we have the opportunity to play thanks to our Armed Forces of Ukraine and our fans who are now serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as to everyone who protects us. For this they are very grateful!

– Before the game with Mariupol, your team has not yet won. Did it put pressure on you psychologically or, on the contrary, did it add motivation?

– It was quite difficult emotionally and psychologically, but we managed it. After each match, we carefully analyze our game, draw conclusions and carefully prepare for the next opponent with faith in each of us, in the team, in our dedication and, of course, victory.

– What did the coaching staff focus on on the eve of the confrontation with a direct competitor?

– The coaching staff always focuses on the fact that we are a TEAM that should only win. We knew it would be hard. The coaching staff believes in our strengths, and the players always go out to the maximum charged for each game and give all the best in the field at 100%.

– The match started for you with a missed goal from Bykovsky. Did he ruin your primary game plan?

– This conceded goal at the beginning of the meeting even helped us. Helped to rally and gnaw out the long-awaited victory!

– In the 15th minute, you converted a penalty and equalized the score in the game. After this scored goal, did you feel self-confidence?

– Yes, we really needed a quick goal scored. It was this first goal that I dedicated to my best friend, football player and soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine – Yuriy Tsarik, who will forever be the Hero of Ukraine!

– Even before the break, Stolyar took Bukovina ahead. Did you feel that you are adding with every minute of the game?

We knew we wouldn’t miss ours. Of course, the goal gave us more confidence, but be that as it may, we knew that we would fight for victory until the end.

– What changes in the game took place in the second half of the meeting?

– During the break, the coaching staff highlighted the mistakes that we need to correct, and also focused on those components that will help improve our game. Everything for us to win this long-awaited victory.

– At the end of the meeting, you distinguished yourself for the second time and removed all questions about the winner of the match. Can you remember this episode?

– The end of the match was extremely tense. Bukovina really needed this goal, because it gave us confidence and faith in our victory.

– It is impossible to overestimate this victory for your team. What did you feel after the final whistle?

– We felt – VICTORY! Such a long-awaited and important victory for us.

– In general, what are the tasks facing the team this season?

— The main task is to win and earn points!

– In the next round you will play against Niva. What are your expectations for this match?

“We will do our best to have a positive result. Everything possible and impossible for the victory of Bukovina.
