Dnipro-1 at the end of the match avoided defeat from Vaduz

The Dnipro club lost important points in the Conference League.

As part of the third round of the Conference League group stage, Dnipro-1 met Vaduz (Liechtenstein).

The beginning of the match was very dynamic: first, Pikhalyonok shot from the penalty area, but higher, then Amash’s unsuccessful attempt to break, but Dovbik did the best, closing the cross of Busanello.

After scoring, Dnepr-1 began to play more carefully, without going into high pressure. Vaduz, who received space, began to hold the ball more and create many opportunities, but they all ended in inaccurate shots.

Oleksandr Kucher’s wards stopped a little, which Vaduz took advantage of. As a result, his moment was realized by Fer, who hit a press after the confrontation with Ulrich.

The granted goal forced the teams to change tactics a little: Vaduz played as the second number, trying to find a moment in counterattacks, and Dnipro-1 began to act as the first number. Amash had a good moment, but failed to get past Shand from the corner, and then Busanello had a great moment, but failed to realize a one-on-one release after a pass from Pikhalenok.

The second half started with a goal from Vaduz: Gasser successfully broke away from the opponent in a corner and shot right under the crossbar. The second heavy blow to morale was received by Dnepr-1 in a few minutes, because Luchkevich, who came out after the break for the first time after a serious injury, was injured in a few minutes. Because of this, he tearfully gave way to Tanchik on the field.

The guests continued to press the goal of the Ukrainian team: at first they forgave, then Valef played reliably, and then the ball ended in the goal of Dnipro-1, but before that there was a violation of the rules in Brazilian.

It took Dnepr-1 several minutes to get back into the game. The main danger came from the innings, where Dovbik reacted, however, if he punched himself, then, if he threw, then the defenders covered our players.

Finally, luck went to Dnepr-1: Dovbik beat Pikhalenok, who then shot, and the ball hit the visitors’ defender. A similar moment appeared after a few minutes, but Shand was able to react after the rebound and moved the ball out of the field.

At the end of the meeting, the Dnipro team rushed the goal, but did not create scoring opportunities.

In the standings, Dnipro-1 has four points after three games, and Vaduz has two points. AZ and Apollo will play their match today (starts at 22:00 Kyiv time).
