Real Madrid support Ukrainian goalkeeper
Madrid head coach Real Madrid Carlo Ancelotti said that the upcoming match Champions League will help the Ukrainian goalkeeper with Shakhtar Andrey Lunin get the necessary experience.
“Lunina is doing well. I’m talking to him. He is young and has good qualities. These games help him gain experience and knowledge, which he lacks now. He has the qualities of a great goalkeeper.”
“He is quite shy. He’s not the type to talk too much and it’s okay that everything that happens affects him. It affects everyone. We can only support him, and if he needs something, we are always there to help him.”
Lunin played three games in a row for Madrid, including a meeting with the Pitmen at the Santiago Bernabeu. Real Madrid’s main goalkeeper Thibault Courtois was not included in the squad for the next match with Shakhtar, which makes the Ukrainian the main candidate for a place in the starting lineup in the fourth round match of the Champions League.
Real Madrid are leading in Group F, having won all three of their previous matches. The match against Shakhtar will take place in Warsaw on Tuesday, October 11th. The meeting starts at 22:00 Kyiv time. The match will be judged by a team of referees from Israel headed by Orel Grinfeld.
