Jovicevic to players: Stay calm and keep fighting, show what you’re made of

The mentor motivated the Pitmen before the match with Real Madrid

Main coach Shakhtar Igor Jovicevich addressed the players in training on the eve of the match with Real Madrid in the fourth round Champions League.

“Tough day for all of you. But we are together, and no one will take the field tomorrow instead of us. Do not cancel the game, as in the Premier League. It’s much worse there than here. And so the responsibility grows. We must give our all on the football field tomorrow. Absolutely everything. All the energy that you provide to each other should be felt by all Ukrainians who watch us. Fight from first to last.”

“There is a British saying that helped win World War II: stay calm and carry on. Keep calm and keep fighting, don’t stop, don’t give up, show what you’re made of. And you are really strong, powerful, all of you and everyone in your family. You will survive it, step over it and win.”

“This energy will help us to be competitive tomorrow from the first to the last second and believe that we can win and take points. Get ready, do a good workout and be on the field tomorrow.”

According to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny, in the morning the aggressor fired 83 rockets on our territory. 43 of them were neutralized by air defense.

Recall that due to rocket attacks on Kyiv on Monday, the match of the 6th round of the championship of the Ukrainian Premier League Alexandria – Metallist 1925 did not take place.

The fight will take place in Warsaw on Tuesday, October 11th. The meeting starts at 22:00 Kyiv time. The match will be judged by a team of referees from Israel headed by Orel Grinfeld.
