Today the northernmost Ukrainian football club is celebrating its birthday.
Today marks the 95th anniversary of the founding of Dynamo Kyiv. On May 13, 1927 the charter of the Kyiv proletarian sports society Dynamo was registered by the Interdepartmental Commission for Public Organizations and Unions of the Kyiv District. The year 1927 can also be found in the official documents and reference books of FIFA and UEFA.
Remember that the Kyiv club is a record holder in many aspects of Ukrainian and not just football. In its history, Dynamo has won 16 Ukrainian championships (record), 12 Cups, 9 Super Cups (record). The club also has 2 Cup Winners’ Cups and 1 UEFA Super Cup. In addition, Dynamo has won the former USSR championship 13 times, which is also a record.
