The coaching staff of the Ukrainian national team decided on the legionnaires to be called up for qualifying matches for the World Cup and League of Nations matches.
According to the UAF press service, the list includes 10 players – a goalkeeper, three defenders, four midfielders and two forwards.
List of legionnaires called to the Ukrainian national team:
Goalkeeper: Andrey Lunin (Real Madrid, Spain).
Defenders: Vitaly Mikolenko (Everton, England), Eduard Sobol (Bruges, Belgium), Taras Kacharaba (Slavia, Czech Republic).
Midfielders: Andrey Yarmolenko (West Ham, England), Alexander Zinchenko (Manchester City, England), Ruslan Malinovsky (Atalanta, Italy), Alexander Zubkov (Ferencvaros, Hungary).
Forward: Roman Yaremchuk (Benfica, Portugal), Daniil Sikan (Hanse, Germany).
Yaremchuk, Sikan, Kacharaba and Zubkov will be the first to arrive in Slovenia at the national team’s training camp – they will join the team on 16 May.
The latter is Lunin. The goalkeeper will travel to Paris on May 28 for the Champions League final between Real Madrid and Liverpool.
