Ukraine U-21 starts at Euro 2023 with a game against Croatia

Blue-yellows will start the tournament on June 21

Became known the calendar of the group stage for the national team Ukraine U-21 at the European Championship 2023.

The tournament for the blue-yellows will start on June 21 with a nominally home game against Croatia. Matches with Romania (June 24) and Spain (June 27) will be away for Ukraine. All Group B matches will be held in Bucharest (Romania).

The two best teams from each quartet will advance to the playoffs of the European Youth Championship. The final part of Euro 2023 U-21 will be held in Georgia and Romania from June 21 to July 8 next year.

Note that the top three teams of the youth Euro 2023 (except France and England) will receive tickets to the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

Ukraine will play at the European Championship for the third time in its history. In 2011, the blue-and-yellows, led by Pavel Yakovenko, finished last in the group. At the 2006 European Championship, under the leadership of Alexei Mikhailichenko, the youth team reached the final, where they lost to the Netherlands (0:3).
