UAF President Andrey Pavelko spoke about the continuation of work on obtaining the right to host the 2030 World Cup together with Spain and Portugal.
“Work on the preparation of our joint application with Spain and Portugal to host the 2030 World Cup is gaining momentum. Now I am in UEFA. We are consulting with partners from other national associations to support the application, we are working on the necessary documents.”

Recall that recently Yuri Zapisotsky was handed a suspicion from the Prosecutor General’s Office for corruption schemes in the UAF. The process took place at 02:00 at night when the functionary crossed the border with Poland, but the UAF believes that this is a commissioned work from the former leaders of the association.
Representatives of the UAF and Ukrainian football legends Oleg Protasov and Anatoly Demyanenko have already spoken out in support of Zapisotsky.
In 2018, the Schemes program conducted an investigation, as a result of which journalists suspected the UAF and its president Andriy Pavelko of corruption through a factory for the production of artificial fields.
In October, Ukraine officially joined the joint bid of Spain and Portugal to host the 2030 World Cup. According to the preliminary plan, our country will host one of the groups at the World Cup.
According to Andrei Pavelko, one of the arenas in Donetsk may be among the stadiums that will host the world championship.
Argentina and Uruguay also planned to host the 2030 World Cup. Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Greece intend to submit a joint application.
