The match was also affected by the pause caused by the air raid.
Ingulets head coach Sergey Lavrinenko commented on the draw with SC Dnipro-1 (2:2) in the 8th round of the UPL. The coach of the Petrovsky club emphasized that his wards completed the task for the game to a greater extent.
“Firstly, I want to thank the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the fact that we have the opportunity to play. Many thanks to them and God bless. Regarding the game, we expected it to be hard. The siren also intervened. This pause also, I think, influenced the course of the match.
“We have achieved a lot of what we planned. First, we were able to score. And we are very happy about the draw, because we took points from the leader. We assumed that the opponent would play more with the ball, the guys endured, waited for their chances. I said that there will be a chance, and it needs to be realized. We had chances, the opponent had, so it turned out to be a fighting game. If this is a plus for us, then for Dnepr-1 it is a vulnerable draw.”
Ingulets goes without a win in the current UPL draw and takes the 14th position with four points in the asset. In the next round, Lavrinenko’s team will face Kryvbas on October 24.
