Kryventsov: With the score 0-0 we had two chances, score one and I think we would have won this game

Kharkiv team dropped to 10th place in the UPL standings

Metalist head coach 1925 Valery Kriventsov commented on the defeat of his team in the match of the 8th round of the UPL against Minaya.

“We didn’t manage to use our chances. With the score 0:0 we had two chances, score one and I think we would have won this game. Especially considering how we spent the second half, the team acted correctly and quickly, constantly creating pressure on the opponent. I am very glad to Vitalik Ponomar that he finally got in shape after such a serious injury and withstood ninety minutes. He is a good player and I hope he will help the team.”

“Before the game, the team spent more than two hours in the shelter, but Minay and I were in the same conditions. The reason for the defeat is that we conceded an optional goal, lost a player on the far stand, this is an individual mistake of the defender. It is necessary to take a player in your zone or be responsible for the zone.

“In general, the team was successful in the game, it was not possible only to score a goal. I told the guys after the game: “If we play like this, we will have many victories ahead of us.”

Metalist 1925 lost to Minai (0:1) in the match of the 8th round of the UPL. The meeting took place in Kovalevka.

It should be noted that the start of the match was postponed by 2.5 hours due to air raid alert in the Kyiv region.

Metalist 1925 dropped to tenth position in the UPL standings. In the next round, Metalist 1925 will face Rukh on October 23.
