Davis will continue to lead Wolverhampton until 2023

The club continues to look for a permanent new coach

Acting Wolverhampton head coach Steve Davis will continue to lead the team until 2023.

Assistants Collins and Tony Roberts will also continue their work. The club also plans to expand the staff of coaches in the coming weeks in order to reduce the burden on the current staff.

“In the short time that Steve and his team have been interim in charge of the core team, we have already seen improvements in the group with players responding well to their methods and the changes they have begun to implement.”

“We have no plans to rush to find a new permanent head coach,” said club chairman Jeff Shea.

Earlier it was reported that the main candidate for the post of coach of the Wolves is the ex-coach of Lyon Peter Bos. The competitor is called Queens Park Rangers head coach Michael Beale.

The Wolves are looking for a new head coach after the sacking of Bruno Lage. Pedro Martins, Angelos Postecoglu and Nuno Espirito Santo are up for the post of the club’s mentor. One of the main candidates, Julen Lopetegui, refused to lead the team, citing family circumstances.

Wolves are 18th in the Premier League. Wolves will host Leicester next on 23 October.
