Here’s a note:
“Us Avellino 1912 is pleased to announce that it has entrusted the role of first team coach to Mr. Massimo Rastelli. Portogruaro, Avellino, Cagliari, Cremonese, Spal and Pordenone.
For him, it’s a return to Avellino when he coached the Greens and Whites from 2012 to 2015, getting promoted to Serie B, being rescued by the cadets and reaching the play-off semi-finals for promotion to the top flight. Rastelli is also remembered for his experience in the Avellino shirt, which earned him another Serie B promotion, a historic one given the play-off success against Napoli in 2004/2005.
The agreement runs for two years until June 30, 2024, with an option to extend for another two years if promoted to Serie B.
Mr. Rastelli’s technical staff will consist of assistant coach Dario Rossi, sports coach Fabio Esposito and technical officer Marco Cossu.
Head coach Pietro La Porta and goalkeeping coach Angelo Pagotto remained unchanged.
The club wishes good luck and good work to the new technical staff!”.
