FIFA introduces changes to the transfer market

FIFA President Gianni Infantino announced changes to the transfer market in world football. As indicated, training clubs will be able to count on payments for the training of players. There are also plans to make payments between clubs more transparent.

– The regulations of the FIFA Information Center have been approved. All transfer related payments will go through the center. Let’s start with the remuneration of clubs involved in the training of players.

Every transfer of a professional player, which includes training compensation and solidarity payments, will be automatically transmitted to clubs through the FIFA clearinghouse.

Law enforcement agencies systematically uncover suspicious payments in transfer proceedings. It won’t happen again. From now on, deductions to agents and transfers of money from one club to another will go through the FIFA information centre. From now on, there is no more tolerance for transfers to incomprehensible bank accounts in foreign countries, they will be unacceptable,” Infantino told a press conference after a meeting of the Council of the Fifa.

As noted, the new transfer arrangements will come into effect on November 16, 2022.
