The mentor is pleased with the draw in the game with the white and blue
Vorskla head coach Victor Skripnik commented on the draw in the game with Dynamo in the 9th round of the UPL (1:1). The coach of the Poltava club said he was pleased with the outcome of the fight.
“We are very pleased with the result. However, we must improve our game forward. We had a very difficult start to the season, showing unstable results. Today, probably, they were very worried, but they showed the game that they tuned in to.
“We understood that we couldn’t play open football against Dynamo, so we closed, and the opponent didn’t have many chances to take our goal. However, we conceded – this often happens to us when the players rely on each other, which is why they score against us. At the same time, we are glad that we managed to level the score, which gave us strength and confidence.”
“I really like to play against Dynamo, against teams that can play good football. I understand that Dynamo are now being criticized for their results, but we must understand how they started the season, that they needed to boost their form, and now the team is looking for itself. Therefore, fans should be sympathetic to the situation that has now developed.
“I also want to be treated with understanding, because many foreigners left us, and we actually have a new team. And each game for us is like an exam for which we prepare during the week. If I had been told before the match that we would play Dynamo in Kyiv 1:1, I would gladly agree. We are happy and confident to go home to prepare for future games.”
“We played against the ball, so we needed players who are better in this particular component. If you saw, Kravets and Batsula played on our left – both nominal defenders, because we wanted to prevent Dynamo from running away, and also sent a tall, textured striker to attack, who would cling to the ball. This was our plan. According to the result, we are satisfied, we also had our chances, ran ahead well.”
“Let’s not anger God, 1:1 suits us in Kyiv. As for Seferi, he also played more defensively. The fact that they did not notice him – perhaps they just let him rest so that he would not run much. It’s good that he ran out on the counterattacks, and I want every ball to reach the addressee, but you also need to consider who we played against. ”
The team of Viktor Skrypnyk is in the 11th position in the UPL standings. In the next round, Vorskla will play with Minay – the match is scheduled for October 29.
