Chelsea manager backs Ten Hag over Ronaldo decision

Chelsea head coach Graham Potter on the eve of the match with Manchester United answered the question about the decision Erica Ten Haga leave Cristiano Ronaldo outside the application for the game.

Ronaldo went to the locker room at the end of the Premier League Round of 12 match against Tottenham (2-0) a few minutes before the final whistle. The club later announced that the Portuguese would miss the game against Chelsea.

I can’t comment much because I don’t understand the details. The coach had to take a stand and at that moment the club had to support him. From the outside, it looks like that’s what happened. I don’t know the background or what really happened, but sometimes we have to make tough decisions, that’s okay, it’s part of our job,” Potter said.

The match between Chelsea and Manchester United is scheduled for October 22 in London and kicks off at 7:30 p.m. (Moscow time).
