The mentor considers the defeat from Zarya undeserved
Veres head coach Yuri Wirth after the defeat from Zorya (0:1) in the 9th round of the UPL, he said that his wards did not have enough sales.
“I thanked the players for the game. I think we lost unfairly today. Nice fighting game. We created chances but didn’t convert them. The very first shot on target with our goal is a rebound and a goal.
“Luck has to be earned. There are no questions for the players. Everyone tried to win. Especially today we played against a very good team. Bad luck”.
“We had good counterattacks. Lacked luck and, somewhere, skill. There was no final transfer under the decisive blow. Aggression was from us, diligence … Most of all questions – to the implementation. We will do everything in our power to win points in the next matches.”
“The home stadium factor could put pressure on us in the first matches. Unfortunately, we can’t win at home yet. I would like to overcome this band as quickly as possible in order to feel more confident. But today I have no questions about the game. We didn’t deserve to lose. We didn’t lose to the opponent in anything, except for the result.”
Veres is in fifth place in the UPL standings – the Rivne club has 14 points. In the next round, Virta’s team will play Kolos on the road on October 31.
