Dnipro continue to go undefeated in the Premier League
Mentor of the Dnieper-1 Alexander Kucher summed up the confrontation with Metalist (1:0) in the 9th round of the UPL. The Dnipro coach stressed that today’s match was not easy.
“It was very difficult for us today. After the match with Ingulets, we had a lot of injured players, and today two more fell out in the match. Therefore, it turned out to be a very difficult game for us. It was like the derby between Dnipro and Kharkiv since ancient times, and everyone had their own ambitions. We were opposed by a good team, which is at the top of the standings and takes its place there in terms of the game. So it was very difficult.”
“Metalist played well in defense, and in attack they created problems for us. Yes, perhaps they didn’t have many chances, but they constantly kept our defense in suspense. And this nervousness in the game was constantly felt. But we won three points today, we are going to heal the wounds and prepare for the next matches, because we have a very difficult schedule and it will not be easy for us further.”
“We do not look at competitors, but play on our own. We prepare for each match as if it were the last one, and we will continue to do so. It will be very difficult for us, because we have a lot of injured. I don’t even understand who we will play in the next match. Perhaps we will “fix” someone and the guys will be able to play.
Dnipro-1 with 22 points is leading in the UPL standings. Kucher’s team is three points ahead of Shakhtar, who have a match in hand.
In the next round of the Ukrainian Championship Dnepr-1 will play against Chornomorets. The meeting will take place on October 30th.
