The UAF will request an exemption from UEFA and FIFA for Russia

The President of the Ukrainian Football Association spoke about additional measures against the aggressor country.

Andriy Pavelko said that the Ukrainian Football Association will try to exclude the Russian Federation from FIFA and UEFA. The UAF President said there is such a need that the organization is turning to international football institutions.

“Today, the henchmen of the main Russian terrorist Putin reported to him that they are ready to include clubs from the temporarily occupied regions of Ukraine in the Russian championship. Enemies are attacking Ukrainian football from outside and from inside. We are putting up The UAF is sending an immediate appeal to FIFA and UEFA with a request to apply the strictest sanctions against the RFU, i.e. we will request the exclusion of Russia from UEFA and FIFA for in flagrant violation of the laws of these organizations.

At the same time, while working on many issues related to preparations for the 2030 World Cup, in conversations with colleagues I continue to focus on the fate of our cities temporarily occupied by terrorists. And therefore, as part of the application work for the World Cup, a decision was made to give the UAF regional divisions of all temporarily occupied regions and Crimea a special status. They are starting to work on a comprehensive action plan for the inclusion of WTO children in the life of football on the Ukrainian agenda. And this will provide for the immediate renewal of development centers, sports academies, children’s schools, the restoration of tournaments and championships that are in unoccupied territories,” wrote Pavelko in his Facebook.
