ex-captain Russian team Andrei Arshavin spoke about the reception of the Brazilian legionnaires Malcolm and claudinho Russian citizenship.
Arshavin told KP Sport he was against naturalized players playing for the Russian national team.
“I’m far from this story, so I don’t know why and why this is being done,” Arashvin commented on reports of Brazilians from Zenit possibly acquiring Russian citizenship.

I am against naturalization. I think Russians should play for Russia, not Brazilians and people of other nationalities with Russian passports. Did Mario Fernandez play well? So what? I don’t think he should have played.
