Robert Lewandowski commented on the notice that he had moved into Barcelona only to have a better chance of winning the Ballon d’Or.

The Polish striker was very close to winning the Ballon d’Or in 2020. That year, the forward had almost the best season of his career, breaking several records and winning the Champions League with Bayern. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, it was decided not to award the Ballon d’Or in 2020.
Lewandowski has scored 18 goals in 17 appearances for the Catalan club this season.
