Champion, Flamengo put six representatives in the ideal team of Libertadores 2022; Athletico and Palmeiras have two players each in the selection
Conmebol released this Monday the selection of the 2022 Libertadores. Flamengo dominated the ideal team and had six representatives. Runner-up, the Atletico-PR placed two athletes, as well as the palm trees. Already the semifinalist Velez has one of 11 players. Dorival Juniorfrom Fla, was elected the best coach.
The ideal team for 2022 featured: saints (FLA); Thiago Heleno (CAP), David Luiz (FLA) and Gustavo Gomez (PAL); Everton Ribeiro (FLA), Gustavo Scarpa (PAL), arrascaeta (FLA) and Janson (VEL); gabigol (FLA), Pedro (FLA) and Vitor Roque (CAP). Coach: Dorival Junior (FLA).

Flamengo beat Athletico-PR 1-0 last Saturday, 29, and won the Libertadores title for the third time. Gabigol scored the goal that gave the title to the red-black in the single final played at the Monumental stadium in Guayaquil, Ecuador.
Champion also in the 1981 and 2019 editions, the carioca club reached the third cup and joined the select group of three-time champions that includes the Brazilians Santos, São Paulo, Palmeiras and Grêmio, in addition to the Paraguayan Olimpia and the Uruguayan Nacional.
In the first phase of its victorious campaign, Fla was undefeated leader of Group H, with 16 points: five wins and a draw. In the knockout stage, they eliminated Tolima (round of 16), Corinthians (quarter-final) and Argentine Vélez Sarfield (semi-final).
