Inter condemn supporters who forced fans out of stadium in honor of slain ultras leader

Inter have condemned the fans for forcing an entire sector of San Siro to withdraw en masse against Sampdoria in honor of the infamous fan who was killed outside his home.

The northern part of the stadium in the match on October 29 left the stadium en masse at half-time in deference to Vittorio Boiocchi, considered one of the historic leaders of Inter’s ultras. Later, ordinary Inter fans who were on this tier of the arena published a series of testimonies on social media that they were forced under threat of violence to leave the stand, which had a capacity of approximately 7,500 spectators.

The club strongly condemns any coercion that may have taken place in the San Siro mid-tier. We express our full solidarity with those fans who have been forced to give up their love for Inter,” the Milan club said in a statement.

Boiocchi, sentenced in the 1990s to more than two decades in prison for drug trafficking, was shot dead outside his home on the outskirts of Milan and died aged 69. He was banned from attending Inter matches.
