Midfielder “Spartacus » Romain Zobnine
“I grew up in a poor family, you might say. I could only dream of it (playing for Spartak), and if someone told me when I was little that I would play 200 games for Spartak, I would say: “Yes, you are crazy, it can’t be like that.” But when you become an adult, certain goals and tasks appear. And you gradually move towards these goals, set new ones. And in doing so, I grew into who I am now. With a lot of experience, a lot of mistakes too. You always want more, you always have to grow and strive for more. I always set myself tasks, individual and team.
Now we are in second place, I think that’s not bad. After all, if we take last season, we won the Russian Cup, but we were in 10th place. Nobody was happy about that, and we had to do something about it. We grow as a team, we have young people. Maybe somewhere unstable, but we are having a pretty good season. Even taking into account that our league has frankly weakened, it is impossible to beat conditional Torpedo or Khimki in our class,” Zobnin told the club’s press service.
Spartak is 2nd in the WORLD RPL standings with 32 points. Zenit in the lead has 39 points.
