Andriy Shevchenko refused to return to work in the Italian championship. The ex-coach of the national team of Ukraine and Genoa was offered the post of head coach of the Serie B outsider – Cosenza.
According to Telenord, the club’s management contacted a specialist and offered a contract, but the Ukrainian was apparently not satisfied with the offer, and he refused to become a consultant for a team from the second division of Italian.
As a result, Cosenza was led by William Vialli. Note that the club is currently in 16th position in Serie B, having gained 11 points.
The only place of work among clubs for Shevchenko is Genoa. The coach took over the Griffins in November last year, but was fired from his position in January 2022. The contract with the specialist finally ended in September.
