The media learned about the desire of American investors to eliminate the European group.

Liverpool is for sale. This was reported by The Athletic reporter David Ornstein. According to him, Fenway Sports Group, owned by businessman John Henry, is preparing the team for sale.

Representatives of the owners have already prepared a presentation of a potential deal for interested parties, and John Henry himself is ready to listen to all proposals.

“Fenway Sports Group has frequently received inquiries from third parties interested in purchasing Liverpool shares. FSG has previously indicated that it would consider doing so if the terms were favorable to the team. FSG remains fully committed to Liverpool’s success both on the pitch and beyond,” the company said in a statement.

Recall that Henry took over the club in 2010. Under his leadership, the Merseysiders won the Champions League and the Premier League, as well as the FA Cup and League Cup. In addition, the entrepreneurial company carried out the reconstruction of the Anfield home stadium and built a new training base.

Recall that earlier the new owners received another club in the Premier League – London’s Chelsea.
