Around 6,000 Argentinian fans, including those who participated in illegal actions, have been denied the right to attend 2022 World Cup matches in Qatar, the Justice and Security Minister of Buenos Aires has said. Aires, Marcelo D’Alessandro.
“We want to bring peace to football and keep violence out of the stadium. They were included in the list for membership in violent groups, involvement in acts of violence, prohibited street trading and arrears of alimony, according to Reuters which quotes him.
D’Alessandro noted that around half of the six thousand supporters are not allowed to attend local league matches.
He also added that Argentine law enforcement officials will travel to Qatar “to work with Qatari security authorities.”
The World Cup in Qatar will take place from November 20 to December 18.
