Women’s national football team of Ukraine will perform in Division B newly created League of Nations among women’s teams.
The debut tournament will be held before Euro 2025. The competition system itself will combine qualification for the European Championship and the League of Nations.
The new format will divide national associations into three levels. At each of them, the national teams will be divided into groups of three or four teams, where they will play each opponent in a home and away match.
At the end of the League of Nations, the winner of the tournament will be determined and, once every four years, three European teams that will go to the Olympic Games. The final ranking of the Nations League (with automatic promotion and relegation), as well as the play-offs, will determine the starting position of the teams in the European qualification.
Recall that in October the draw for the Women’s World Cup 2023 took place, which will be held from July 20 to August 20 in Australia and New Zealand. The women’s team of Ukraine could not get into the final part of the world championship.
