Offensive “Milan” Raphael Leau demanded a record salary in the club’s history, in which case he is ready to stay in the Italian team, reports The sun in reference to Sky Italia.
The player demands to increase the salary from 8.97 million euros per year to 10 million.
The 23-year-old forward’s contract runs until 2024, the player has attracted interest from top European clubs. Chelsea have been the most active, negotiating with Leau for several weeks. AC Milan values the star at around 121 million euros. There is also a problem with former Leau club Sporting CP who owe the Portuguese around €19m. This controversial situation can benefit the London club.
Leau joined AC Milan in 2019 from Lille and helped the Italian side win Serie A titles last season. The 23-year-old Portuguese has scored 6 goals and provided 9 assists in 18 games for the Rossoneri this season.
