The Ukrainian midfielder played in the first match for the team he joined in the summer transfer window.

Egor Yarmolyuk played in the first match for his Brentford. The debut took place in the English League Cup against Gillingham from the Second League.

The 18-year-old Ukrainian came on as a substitute in the 72nd minute of the match, taking the field instead of Nigerian midfielder Frank Onyeku.

The debut was unsuccessful, because the representative of the Premier League could not go to the next round. The main time of the match ended with a draw 1:1, and in the penalty shootout the team of the lower division was more accurate and successful – 6:5. The only miss from the “point” due to Mikkel Damsgaard.

It should be noted that Yarmolyuk entered Brentford’s first team application for the third time in a row. Earlier it happened in Premier League matches against Wolverhampton and Nottingham Forest, but then the coach left the Ukrainian on the bench.

Recall that Yegor Yarmolyuk moved to Foggy Albion this summer. According to Transfermarkt, the British paid Dnepr-1 1.5 million euros for the player, after which he joined the youth squad of the “bees”.
