Golovatenko: Victories are the merit of the entire Buzov family

The hero of the tenth round in the Second League Andrey Golovatenko shared his impression of the victory over Chaika (4:0) and spoke about the team’s plans for the final game in 2022.

– Of course, I am overwhelmed with positive emotions from winning the honorary nomination of the media, – Glovatenko told SportArena. “It is always a pleasure to win in such a category. But I would like, first of all, to thank the defenders of Ukraine for the fact that we have the opportunity to do what we love.

– What were your expectations from the match with Chaika?

– We understood that we simply wouldn’t be here, the team had a wonderful game streak. There was a lot of struggle in the first half, the opponent created a number of problems. I am happy that we were able to play our football in the second half and won an important victory.

– Niva failed to score in the first half. What is the reason for such an indistinct game of the team in attack?

– I can’t say that we played badly in the first half of the game. We lacked an accented shot in the final third of the field. However, it is also worth paying tribute to the opponent, who was in good playing shape after eight rounds without defeat.

– What did the coaching staff focus on during the break? Due to what did you manage to put the squeeze on your opponent?

– We should pay tribute to the coaching staff, who noted several tactical moments. We continued to play aggressively in attack and it paid off. Much credit for this victory to the coaching staff.

– In the 55th minute, you converted a free kick and opened the scoring in the game. Do you agree that this ball became decisive in the confrontation, because by winning it became easier for you to play against an opponent who began to attack with great forces?

– In my opinion, this goal was not decisive, because there was still a lot to play. However, the goal scored gave us self-confidence.

– In the 69th minute, after an assist from Somov, you struck diagonally into the far corner. Share your emotions from your fourth goal of the season?

– This goal is a great merit of Ivan Somov, who did not lose the fight and gave an excellent pass. It’s great that our team has such a strong striker. I had only to assess the situation and break into the far corner. I am pleased that I was able to score with a double in the penultimate match of the year.

– When did you find out that you would be out in this game from the first minutes? Usually your team plays with Nikolayuk and Tishchenko on the flanks, but for this match the coach abandoned the usual tactics. Did the coaching trick work?

I found out about it the day before the game. Sergei Vasilyevich’s coaching “sense” has been working for more than a year. A number of qualified players play in Niva, who, if necessary, can enter the field and bring results to the team. Rotation in modern football is very important.

– Niva is still going with a 100% indicator. Admit it, did you expect such results at the beginning of the season?

– We set as our goal to win every match, and not to look at the standings. However, such results cannot but rejoice. I want to thank our President Oktay Efendiyev, who lives for football and develops our club. Victories are the merit of the entire Buzova family.

– Due to what, in your opinion, Niva surpasses its rivals?

– All the players of our team have already managed to play and this helps to achieve results. Individually strong performers and a qualified coaching staff allow Niva to delight her fans. However, we are not resting on our laurels and are only moving forward.

– What are your expectations from the game with Metallurg-2? Do you still have energy for the last match of the year?

We will only play to win. We want to end a brilliant 2022 for our team with a victory. We try to go on vacation with 100% result.
