77% of Birmingham club fans voted for new crest
Aston Villa introduced a new crest of the club. The emblem will appear on Birmingham jerseys from the 2023/24 season.
Over the summer, Aston Villa launched the process of redesigning the coat of arms. As a result, the fans were presented with two options. The first was decorated in the form of a traditional gas lamp, and referred to the history of the club’s foundation. The second is round in shape, paying homage to winning the Champions League in 1982.
The last option won, 77% of the fans voted for it. A total of 21,500 fan club members and season pass holders took part in the voting.
Aston Villa are 13th in the Premier League. On Thursday, the Birminghams play with Manchester United in the English League Cup, the match began at 22:00 Kyiv time.
